A few links
I did a theological quiz. I scored highest in the Wesleyan/Holiness category and a close second in Neo-Orthodox. Classic and Modern Liberalism brought up the rear.
Second, let the defense of Cliff Fletcher begin! Here's the first defense of his joke of a job done today. "His hands were tied from Day 1." That's exactly what everyone knew from the get go and the problem he was brought in to solve! Goodness, people...he was hired to do a job and failed; stop making excuses. The fact that he failed doesn't negate the responsibility of the organization and its previous manager(s).

I think you can be mad about what the Leafs didn't do in the past, or weren't able to do today...but what they did do was acceptable in my opinion :)
You can't blame Fletcher for the Toronto fans. Toronto fans will sell out the Air Canada Centre even if the owners swap the Leafs with the Shawville Junior Bs.
There is no incentive amongst the ownership to win the Cup if the fans continue to pay too much for crap hockey.
Their motto is "Win the Cup if we have to." Hardly inspiring.
All this to say, the coaches and GMs will never field a good team because that would reduce team profits. And the owners won't allow that. Why would they?
Toronto FANS ensure by their blind devotion that losing teams will generate more money for the owners.
HAH!
At least the Sens just suck. Their not dysfunctional.

Too true, Crusty...Fletcher's responsibility does not lie in changing the fans' minds. It should also be noted that Toronto was consistently among the highest spending teams in the league before the cap. Their ticket prices are too high, but prior to the cap they spent some of the money generated. So, it's not losing teams that generate more money--losing playoff revenue. It's a non-commitment to excellence that doesn't matter.
So, that is why I am changing who I cheer for if the next general manager isn't a home run. And Colin Campbell isn't a home run.
$10 says the next GM is Doug Gilmour.
ON another note, Paddock is out and Murray is behind the bench. Go Shawville lads.
