I hate spring, so that church sign has caused me to consider leaving the faith.
I would rank the season's as follows: Fall, Winter, Summer, Spring
If spring is God's way of saying he loves us than winter is his way of saying "but I'm still ticked".
Of course if winter were my second favorite season I might feel differently.
Church signs like that are like a good Bill Gaither song, there is just such great theology in them.
PS. Aaron did you hear about Art Dunning?
I'm so glad I just have to believe in Spring. I was afraid I had to believe in resurrected corpses, "rich wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified," and all that. If GOd's love is just about Spring, who the hell could possibly get offended at that, let alone die for it.
Stupid Apostles. All they had to say was, "no no, Caesar, it's all about Spring."
Mind you, the sign is better than my personal summer favorite: "You think it's hot now? God."

Rob, I did hear about Art and attended his memorial service on Sunday. He was a good man and will be missed.
Winter is punishment for the fall- kind of like pestulance and pain during child birth.
