Ordination

Hi friends,

Here are two photos from my ordination. The event was made very special and meaningful because of my caring family, friends, and church. My parents, my brother Paul, my Uncle Hugh and Aunt Norma, and my Uncle Bill all made the trip down to the ordination. Also, my friends Tim, Holly, Darren, and Ben came from New Brunswick and Ontario for the event. Also, Gary and Diane Sawyer, John Price, and Heather's parents came. Obviously (and thankfully) Heather came too. I also had phone congrats from brother Tim and his family. Here are two photos from the service.

Dr. Earle Wilson preached. He said something quite profound: "It doesn't matter what success you have in ministry if along the day you don't become a saint." True.

Dear Rev. Perry. Tonght after dark I want you to go into your bathroom, close the door, turn off all the lights, and pee. It's pretty awesome the first few times you see it. It usually glows somewhere between yellow and white depending on how much fluids you have been drinking and if you are right with Jesus. If it's green you need to call your DS ASAP!!! It if it's red then you need to get your hands on some Neil Anderson books and burn all your heavy metal CD's. If you can't see a blessed thing and end up making a horrible warm wet mess of your bathroom it didn't take and you are going to need to check out the apostolic succession of those who preformed the ceremony and have them repeat it. In these situations it never hurts to pay a RC Bishop to be there undercover for the laying on of hands.

On a more serious note - congrats and good on ya.

Nope, just guesing a random color. I'm not an office watcher. However if it makes it more funny I'll gladly take credit for it.

I was really hot and sweating, so I undid it.

YOu know, when I was at BBC, undoing my tie at a church event--even if the event involved tomato soup that you didn't want to spill on your favorite silk tie--was grounds for discipline. Do they not teach anything there any more?

Top two characteristics of a leader: combed hair, shined shoes. Seriously. Bill Burbury said so.
