Reflections on Yesterday's Football or Tom Brady the Loser

First, Chicago and New Orleans played sloppy games. Chicago was fortunate to win the game because of NO's sloppiness but they still were pretty bad. Of course, the Steelers played a terrible game in last year's Super Bowl and won, so you just gotta win.

Second, Peyton Manning showed himself to be a confident player, a winner. He won a game that could easily have been lost.

Third, Tom Brady showed himself to be a bad loser. I both hated and loved seeing him just run off the field without doing anything. (At least I didn't see him shake hands or anything. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.) This isn't a snub against anyone but himself. If Ladainian Tomlinson was told by some New England guys, "You're better than this" as he tried getting off the field, then Tom Brady...well, is worse.

Fourth, Teddy Bruschi: Class act. Great way to give Manning and hug and congratulate him. That's what I was expecting from Brady.

i was surprised to see Brady act like that. I guess I didn't know he was a bad loser since he pretty much has never lost. It seems he is becoming more and more like his coach. Anyways, Indy has won the last 3 matchups, so maybe THEY are in HIS head :)

i am not tom brady. true enough. never claimed to be. just claimed that a bad loser doesn't shake hands. again, they showed brady running off the field and they showed alot of handshakes. they showed bruschi on the field after the game was over hugging manning. they showed belichek congratulating dungy. if brady didn't shake hands, and the evidence seems to point that he didn't, then he's a poor loser. if i lose a game and don't shake hands, then call me a bad loser, too! and hte legend of perry lives on.

Of course, the legend of Perry took shape in a dungy (or is that Dungee) basement room around a ping-pong table. And, win or lose, I seem to remember several instances where handshakes were refused (as were kleenexes). Of course, I did not play those games. AP was up against the Master-of-Getting-in-AP's-Head that is Ellard. He's 62 and I bet he can still beat you! Just like Frank Barrone.

Hey the Bears didn't play sloppy. They have a useless quarterback so with that in mind they played amazing. The D came through time and time again. The safety was awesome. Ripping the ball out of peoples hands is genius. You'd think the "Stealers" would steal more balls that way. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Bears. Amazing game. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Bears. We want Harbaugh we want McMahon Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Bears. Lovie is a softer Ditka. Bears Bears Bears Polish sausage Bears.

haha. the bears defense still gave up big plays and were fortunate for NO to miss the go-ahead FG. that totally changed momentum. the offense has 10 others guys on hte field besides the QB. they ran alright, but only had 9 points off turnovers in the first half. like i said, SLOPPY.

you would expect the steelers to be better. i expect they will be next year. although i'm not sold on roethlisberger. but he's still way better than grossman. indy by 28.

Not sloppy. you're sloppy. The Bears D played badly for 2 minutes at the end of the first half period. Are you saying that a good offence can overcome a sucky quarterback? What planet do you live on? No quarteback = no offence. Stupid Steeler fan. Bears by 40. Momentum changed after the safety. Honestly were you even watching the game? I have the TSN turning point to back me up.

good offense overcome a bad quarterback? yes. precisely what Baltimore did a few years ago under trent dilfer. what pittsburgh did for part of last year under roethlisberger. part of what the bears did part of the year.

what planet do i live on? not sure, why don't you ask me that 20 years ago when you were in grade 6.

And your math stinks too. hmmmm Baltimore overcame it with wait for it DEFENSE. Their offense still sucked. The Bears overcame it this year as well with ...oh the suspense is killin me...DEFENSE. Of course Pittsburgh has never been known to help out a sucky offense with something like ... I can't stand it...What could it be...Oh yeah DEFENSE. If your quarterback throws 5 interceptions, fumbles the ball, Goes off the field for half time before halftime, calls extra timeouts, and can't get balls to his receivers you can have the best other 10 offensive players in the world and you will lose unless of course it is overcome by a little thing that i like to call DEFENSE.

i have yet to see a team win consistently with only scoring points from the defensive side of the ball. but what do i know? my math stinks.

The math stinks comment was in reference to 20 years ago me being in grade 6. I was in grade 9. In regards to your last comment see the entire season of the Bears last year. 10 wins most without the QB throwing even 150 yards.
